Chinese parents are weird.
Dad : Did you get a tattoo?
Me : NO!! Leave me alone!!!!!!!
Dad : Well, why did your mother say something about your belly button? Don’t do it; you get infections!
Me : LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!
See, my dad is a big giant softee. Most of the time, he’s totally kinda clueless about stuff like this.
My mum isn’t speaking to me. I overheard her talking to her friends about her PROBLEMATIC daughter.
I am not looking forward to moving back home to Glasgow now. Oh dear!

Ling, i think ur mom went mental because she loves you and doesn’t want to see her daughter having a belly piercing. i know you’re 24, but, she still really really really loves you that’s why. maybe u can ask her what is it about a belly piercing that makes her so upset? i think, if my daughter did it too i’d go raging… maybe u don’t understand ur mom?? she turned to a Christian, she just doesn’t want to see you being the way she was before she was a Christian? that could be the case? i’m not sure, but i know she really loves u. k?
