Mum : Who are you meeting today?
Me : No-one.
Mum : What are you doing today?
Me : Nothing.
Mum : Are any of your friends coming over?
Me : Nope.
Mum : Are you going out to meet any of your friends?
Me : I told you already. No.
Mum : So you haven’t arranged to meet anyone?
Me : No. I’m gonna stay home and keep it quiet…spend time with the siblings.
Mum : ????
As you all know, I arrived back in Scotland on Friday. Yesterday was Saturday and I got majorly interrogated by my Mum. She could not believe that I had not arranged to meet any friends nor invited friends over yet.
Today is Sunday and it is also one of my besties birthday – Happy Birthday Mrs! Her husband informed me of her birthday dinner this morning…but I also, kindly rejected the offer. My Mum was majorly shocked when I told her I was coming straight home after church.
Back home, I am a known as a social butterfly and I am rarely home, or if I am, it is to throw a party. However, being away from family for so long makes me appreciate them more. I was planning on baking brownies and impressing them with my cooking skills…but frankly, it is too cold in the house and I have warmed up this couch so I think I shall stay here all night.
Sis 3 is home too. She is usually based in London. She is having a major breakdown because Sis 4 and I told her to make dinner as Sis 4 cooked Friday, I cooked yesterday and today, it is her turn. Let the meltdown begin! (BTW, for my own health and safety, I microwaved leftovers to eat rather than eat her cooking!!!)
I am missing my Hubby terribly, but it is good to be home though. I am taking it in turns to order every one of my brothers around. “Make me a cuppa tea!” ”Get me my make-up remover!” ”Change the channel on the TV!”
I may be married out of my family…but I still have authority in the Tung household! Oh yeah!!!
