Oh my goodness. I’m so excited. My classmate Miss Mitt is getting married in Aberdeen tomorrow. We’re going to Dundee tonight to visit Sis 2 so I’ll need to pack even more stuff. Make-up, contacts, shampoo, towel, underwear, perfume, toothbrush, etc etc….Oh dear, what should I wear? Should I wear that dress or this dress? What shoes? What bag? What sash? What jewellery? Hmm…??
“Mr Geek, what do u think?”
Why on earth is Ling packing so much stuff? We’re only going for one night! All I’ll need is my suit, a shirt and a pair of boxers. Oh yeah, mustn’t forget my camera and my Nintendo DS and some games to play with. I’ll need to pump some petrol in the car. Who’s getting married again – Miss Pitt?
“Er…yeah, they both look nice……but I prefer dress no. 1?” (What did that look like again?)
“Really? But doesn’t my tummy kinda stick out in that dress? No? Aww…really, do I look good? How sweet? So what shoes do u think will match?”
I bet Mr Geek doesn’t have a clue! He’s so much more interested in watching my brothers play computer games. Sigh. I’ll just go downstairs and ask my Mum for her opinion. I hope the weather’s good tomorrow. I wonder if she’ll throw the bouquet…I hope I catch it.
“Mr Geek, I’m just going downstairs to ask my Mum something..I’ll be ready soon!” (give me an hour or two…)
“Huh? Okay.”
Must check the internet later to see if there are any hidden cheats for this game. Where is Ling going?
10pm in Mr Geek’s car driving to Dundee
“Will you miss me when you leave for London?” (What if some girl latches onto him?)
“Yes, of course.” (Why do girls always ask the same questions over and over again?)
“Slow down. You’re driving too fast! There’s a speed camera.”
“Oh, didn’t see that. Thanks hon.” (She sounds like my Mum)
“I’m hungry.” (I’m bored)
“What? We had dinner.”
“That wasn’t dinner. I only ate some veg.” (I feel like crisps)
“Yeah me too, but I’m not hungry. Seriously Ling, I think you have an eating disorder.” (Maybe I shouldn’t have said that…)
“What? I have an eating disorder because I want to eat. That’s ridiculous!” (Am I getting fat?)
“You’re always eating. That’s not good for you.” (What have I started??)
“Yeah, but I’m not obese!!! Do you want me to get anorexic?” (He so thinks I am fat!!!)
“No, I’m not saying that….it’s just that….” (uh-oh!)
Silence….
“I’m sorry. Let’s eat. What do you want to eat?” (please don’t go moody!)
“No it’s okay. I’m fine now. I don’t want to have an eating disorder. Besides, I do want to fit into my dress for tomorrow’s wedding.” (yeah, maybe I should go on a diet…??)
11pm in Mr Geek’s car still driving to Dundee
“Okay, I’m hungry now…” (Dang…if only we ate earlier when Ling was hungry)
“Mr Geek!! You have an eating disorder!!! We had dinner already!” ( I win!!!)
Saturday 4th August 2007
8.30am at Dundee flat
Squeal!! I can’t sleep anymore. It’s sunny!! I am so excited! Hmm…maybe Sis 2 will have a nice dress I can wear to the wedding… The dress I brought might not be suitable… Darn, I should have brought a 3rd dress option.

Hmm..should I go and wake Mr Geek up? He does need to shower and shave for the wedding… Oh wait a minute, let me go and raid my sister’s jewellery for a nice pair of earrings. I wonder what everyone else will be wearing? Do I look overdressed? Should I tie my hair up?

11am at Dundee flat
Oh my goodness. We have to leave soon. We better not be late like the last wedding we went to. It’ll take about an hour to get there. Right, I’ll make breakfast, eat, pack, make-up and then dress and leave.
“Mr Geek, get up!”
Zzzz… Huh? Where am I? Oh yeah, Dundee. What time is it? It’s only 11. Plenty of time. Just another half an hour….zzzzzzzz
12pm at Dundee flat
We have to go soon. We have to go soon. Have I packed everything up?
“Mr Geek, we have to go soon! We have to go soon! Get everything in the car !”
“Yep.”
Ooh…let’s see his reaction. Strike a pose Ling…and hold in the tummy…and wait for a compliment

Gurrr… “So, how do I look?”
Same as yesterday! “Wow…you look great!” – Don’t say NICE….
2.30pm at Wedding Venue
Wow! This place is amazing!!!!
Wow! The groom drives a Lotus Elise!
I’m gonna have to steal some wedding ideas…Miss Mitt has amazing taste!
Ling better not get any of these ideas into her head for our wedding. Too expensive!
Wow…her dress is amazing!! She looks stunning. Oh, how romantic!!!

5pm Speeches
Aww…how sweet! Bet Mr Geek won’t say that when he does his speech at our wedding. Note to self : must make sure eye make-up is waterproof at our wedding.
Boy, am I glad we’re not getting married soon…writing a good speech is difficult! It’s not easy being funny… I’m hungry…
5.30pm Dinner
Wow…the food is amazing. But can’t eat too much otherwise my belly will stick out in this dress.
Wow…the food is amazing. Gonna eat mine as quick as possible so I can steal some of Ling’s food…hehe..
I like the centrepieces. The flowers look great.

7pm Dancing with Music from Live Band
They look so sweet together. Look how her dress glides across the dancefloor…
Hey, that guy just sang out of key!
I can’t wait to dance later and burn off some calories
Ugh…Ling’s gonna make me dance with her later…doesn’t she know that guys like me can’t dance?
9.30 pm at Wedding
This is such a great wedding. I wonder what their budget was. How can we make our wedding as good? I don’t want to go home yet.
“What time do you wanna leave?”
“Whenever you want” (Now, please)
“I hope our wedding can be as good as this”
Groan. Stop talking about our wedding please… Wedding means money… groan…
“Yeah. But it’ll cost so much money…”
Why does he always talk about our wedding like that? Sigh…
“Let’s go home soon then…”
