No, I’m not THAT cheap. I didn’t say “tap”…
…unlike Mr Geek!! A while ago, we were on a works night out with all his medic colleagues in this posh West End Italian restaurant. The waiter came round and asked everyone for their drink orders. “Beer…diet Coke…beer…vodka and lemonade….”
It was Mr Geek’s turn and he said “Water please”
The waiter asked, “Sparkling or still sir?”
“TAP!”
Everyone around the table stifled their laughter.
And then it was my turn. “Water please”
“Sparkling or still?” (no ‘tap’ option still)
“HOT water please!”
This may be an overgeneralisation, but why do Western people not drink hot water. Drinking hot water seems to be a foreign drink for them!
In conclusion : Chinese people are cheap.

Yeah its strange, Western people react funnily when they hear we drink boiled water. Yet they complain when they drink unclean water. Boiling kills germs we must keep telling them.
Chinese people are ‘cheap’ because they work much harder for their money. At least here in UK, majority of Chinese slave away in Chinese takeaways so every penny they make/ save counts. Poor Chinese have to save more. Rich people become scrooge. Sad, but true.
