His And Her Wedding Vows
Posted by Ling on January 30, 2011
It’s a lazy Sunday afternoon in Melbourne where it is 40 degree heat outside…but I am happily sitting inside in an air-conditioned environment. Anyway, I happen to have the Hubby’s laptop and am browsing through his photo albums and I stumbled upon this beautiful photo taken on our wedding day in Australia taken by You Meng, another gifted photographer who witnessed our nuptials – you can check out more photos on her website here. This photo was taken during our wedding vows. How awesome!
One of my blog readers pointed out recently that I hadn’t put up our wedding vows as promised before – sorry, but here they are, at last!!! (BTW, just to clarify that Mr Dorky = my Hubby = Noah Tze En Choong)
His Wedding Vows
I, Tze En Choong, acknowledge that God has brought us together, and because I make a commitment to love you unconditionally, do today ask you Ling Yen Tung, to become my gorgeous wife.
Before God, and the presence of family and my closest friends, I promise to be a faithful husband, to honour and surround you with my sincere love, and to provide for you and to protect you in our lives together, and whatever that may come our way. With God’s help I promise to lead you to grow spiritually together. I will love you as Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for her until the Lord returns or we are parted by death.
I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, and this ring as a symbol of my covenant from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.
Her Wedding Vows
I, Ling Yen Tung, love you, Noah Tze En Choong. You are a precious gift from God; my one true love and I thank God for you.
On this special day, I take you Noah to be my wedded husband and I give myself to you in the covenant of marriage. As your loyal and faithful wife, I promise to love you without reservation – in good times and especially in bad times. I will always support you, encourage you to achieve higher goals, laugh with you, cry with you and grow with you in mind and spirit. I promise to always be open and honest with you, to cherish and to honour you. I look forward to raising our family and building our relationship under the care and guidance of God. These promises I give to you today and today and all the days of our lives.
I give you this ring as a symbol of my absolute love for you and as a permanent reminder of the promises we have made today before God, our family and friends.
During Our Wedding Vows
We looked into each other’s teary eyes and it was so intense. It was a precious moment that we will treasure forever.
