Things To Do Before Leaving UK
Posted by Ling on March 28, 2009
- Tried on some swimming one-piece costumes…one word : HIDEOUS
- Frumpy pregnant granny-look is NOT GOOD
- May resort to wearing my bikini (not that I look much better…sigh..)
2. Apply for visas
- Apply for working visa in Australia – DONE!
- Apply for visas in other countries e.g. China, Cambodia
3. Save money
- Eating out is my biggest vice…*oops*
- Started ‘going out for drinks’…*oops*
- I bought a flat… *oops*
4. Boring work-related stuff
- Resignation letters – last day of work is 3rd July 2009
- Call accountant to sort out tax and pension and finances
- Finish up major treatment plans
- Organise a leaving party
- This is fun but very sad
6. Pack
- 20 kgs baggage allowance??? HELLO? Is that possible??
7. Buy gadgets
- They are travel essentials. They will be like my non-human best friends
- I-pod / Nintendo DS / E-book / any other suggestions?
8. Learn to be independent and unafraid of being alone
- Must get a PANIC alarm in case I get attacked
9. Learn how to make new friends
- Must learn to do small talk and be confident in approaching random strangers
- Must learn to tell a goody from a baddy
10. Drop my Scottish accent
- I want to speak softly and gently like a LADY (*snort*)

Try a two-piece swimsuit with a shorts like thing.
I think normal books are better than e-books if you’re gonna travel a lot, or else you need to charge everything all the time. Some people like to go online with iPod Touch, but since you have a eee-pc, you can use that, I guess.
You can start speaking to everyone in your fake voice
Maybe it’ll turn into your normal voice

I’ll wear a bikini if YOU wear one!!! if you don’t then I won’t…! hahaha…. [i should consider buying one... but will HAVE to force myself to lose weight first tho!]
ipod is ALWAYS a winner. im glad i have one. days are less lonely when you have one.
visa stuff sucks.
your scottish accent is going to get you into so many interesting conversations!!!!!!!! i can just imagine it! i’ll introduce you to my friends and they’d be like “eh ans, where did you find this girl?!” haha… i tell people to guess my accent here, and they can’t tell where i’m from… i dread to think what will happen when telling people to guess where you’re from!
