Ling : Huh? Really? But I have lost motivation to blog here after getting all those hater comments…
Devil Ling : Look dearie, you know people don’t like your blog. It’s time to shut it down!
Angel Ling : Don’t listen to her.
Devil Ling : EXCUSE ME!! I have a name you know!!!
Angel Ling : Ling, please don’t listen to Devil Ling. Remember the lovely supportive e-mails you got from your amazing readers? One is doing their dissertation and reads your blog as a welcome distraction. And there’s the other reader who is also an Asian female dentist living in Melbourne. And then, there’s -
Devil Ling : Blah, blah, blah! Why can’t you shut up? Ling, do I need to remind you about those hater comments? I believe the exact words were “your blog is sh*t!”
Angel Ling : Hey, hey. There’s no need to use foul language here.
Devil Ling : WHAT? I was just quoting what one of the haters said. And Ling, remember the recent threat from one of your haters??
Ling : No, please. I don’t want to be reminded of that. That was just awful.
Angel Ling : Honey, it’s okay. There are nasty trolls out there who are trying to destroy you so please ignore them.
Devil Ling : Hey, watch what you’re saying! Those nasty trolls are my friends! Listen Ling, it’s not just randomers who think you should stop blogging. Even some of your closest family and friends think that your blog is a big fat JOKE!
Ling : But…
Devil Ling : NO BUTS! Is it or is not true that you have been ashamed of saying that you are a blogger?
Ling : Well, that is true, but…
Devil Ling : Answer YES or NO!
Ling : …yes…
Devil Ling : Exactly! You are too ashamed of saying that you are a “blogger” – it’s like it’s a dirty word! Look, just quit your blog before you embarrass yourself any further!
Ling : …
Devil Ling : And look at your Husband. Your blog is so bad that he doesn’t even read it!
Ling : ….
Angel Ling : Honey, look at me. Your Husband doesn’t read your blogs but that’s because it’s neither sports-related nor Apple-products-related! But just because he doesn’t read your blog, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t support your blog. He helped you when you got stuck with the design of the website. You started this blog because you HAVE a passion to write and to share your personal experiences with people all over the world. You may not be a famous blogger, but it doesn’t mean that you don’t entertain people with your blogs. People don’t comment all the time, but they really do enjoy your blog.
Devil Ling : Pfft! AS IF!! Your blog is not entertaining. It’s just all about you and your pathetic life! How can that be entertaining??
Angel Ling : Ling, people who have been followers from the start have seen you mature from a young university student to the beautiful woman you are today. They were there for you when you fell in love with the wrong guys, when your relatives passed away and when you fell ill. Plus they also rejoiced with you when they read about the happy things in your life – when you passed your final exams, when you went travelling and when you met your Hubby. Some readers have followed your journey so you shouldn’t stop now.
Devil Ling : …erm…well.. Well, now that you’re married, your life is mundane and…and…no-one wants to read about that! So listen to me, this blog is OVER!
Angel Ling : No, it isn’t over. Life does not stop after marriage. In fact, it’s a brand new chapter. People will love to read about your marital life and whatever it brings.
Devil Ling : Well, then why is she suddenly getting a barrage of hater comments then? How can you explain that huh?
Angel Ling : Ling, your blog is gaining popularity. It’s getting more exposure and because of that, you’ll start receiving more and more hater comments. You should be HAPPY that you’re getting hate mail! It means that you have made it! Remember HATERS equals Having Anger Towards Everyone Reaching Success.
Devil Ling : You…you…urgh!!!!!!! Oh wait! Isn’t time PRECIOUS? She’s wasting so much time AND money (by hosting a website) by blogging and getting NOTHING in return!
Angel Ling : It’s not a waste when Ling inspires people with her stories.
Devil Ling : Inspire? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? How is this blog inspirational?
Angel Ling : She has inspired a couple of readers to travel and follow their dreams. She has helped people with her dating advice. She has inspired people to start blogging.
Devil Ling : Pfft! Her stories are one-sided.
Angel Ling : Of course they are one-sided. This is a personal blog so it is HER story to tell. If people are not happy with this, then they should start their own blog and not harass her.
Devil Ling : Well, I remember what one of the haters wrote. They criticised Ling for being a Christian but still moaning in her blogs…
Angel Ling : First of all, Ling is not scared to say she is a Christian on her blog. And at the same time, people need to realise that Christians are not perfect, but just human beings. Ling has never said she is perfect and never will say that.
Devil Ling : Oh well, if she’s a Christian then why doesn’t she blog more about Christianity?
Ling : I can answer this, thank you. I have blogged about Christianity and in fact, some blogs have hidden meanings… I never really plan about what I blog about. It just comes to me. Sometimes it contains Christian themes and sometimes it doesn’t.
Devil Ling : …Well…well…
Angel Ling : Stuck for words, I see…
Devil Ling : Oooh!! Did I hear some attitude there?
Angel Ling : No…
Devil Ling : DON’T LIE! Angels aren’t allowed to lie! I heard it in the tone of your voice!!! You’re a LIAR!!! And your pants are on fire!!!
Angel Ling : No, they’re not…
Ling : Oh my goodness, you two are so noisy! Stop squabbling! I have made up my mind…
Devil Ling : FANTASTIC! Just press the delete button to your right and this blog will be deleted. Nice and easy. No more hater comments. No more criticism from family and friends.
Angel Ling : WHAT?? Really??
Ling : Sorry to disappoint you. But this blog is staying. I will continue to blog to my heart’s content. I will not let hater comments get me down. They will not ruin my passion. As for the friends and family who sneer at my blog, they should know better than to knock me down. Hubby doesn’t read my blog but he doesn’t need to because we talk about everything so whatever is written here, he’s probably heard it first. And I will admit that I find it difficult to say that I am a blogger. But from this day onwards, I am a loud and proud blogger – regardless of whether I am famous or not.
Devil Ling : You’re just SICK! Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you when you suffer a blogger breakdown next time!!! I assure you that you will still get plenty of hater comments because your blog SUCKS!
Angel Ling : Your blog doesn’t suck. Is there a tool to measure the “suck”-iness of a blog? No. Exactly! Just keep doing what you are doing. If people love your blog, they will keep reading. And if they don’t, they can find other blogs. Everyone has different taste.
Ling : You stole the words right out of mouth! I want to take this opportunity and thank all my supportive readers once again. Please continue to follow me on my journey in life.

Please continue to blog. I know exactly what you mean with the whole meaning behind the conversation. This week alone I received two NOT so NICE comments from some cyber bullies regarding my recent posts. To be honest, I just read one of them just now. I feel extremely sad. One anonymous person said that just because I wear designer pieces doesn’t mean I look nice (under the Chanel Iconic jacket post). I was like thinking “WHAT THE F***??! I have been quite busy with work but yet I am still passionate about what I write/blog. True that some designer pieces are expensive but look crap. But Im sure I am not that dumb to buy crap stuff to make myself look like trash. It is never my intention to stir such strong feelings of hate. But obviously it failed to deter so. Infact, the shallow scumbag didnt even leave a name (probably to embarassed- which I am assuming he/she still has a bit of pride).
I really wanted to share this with you as I feel I can relate to you/with you. And I am so inspired that you are keeping it going. To be honest, I feel like closing the page soon (I have been comtemplating for a while now as I am getting quite busy with work and will be even busy later).

I don’t know who said it but I heard a saying along the lines of; “if you have haters, then you’re doing something right”. It sounds contradictory but it’s true
