True Beauty
Posted by Ling on January 29, 2004
The other day I was lunching with my friend Miss VeeBee and one of her other friends, who I’ve been introduced to before. He didn’t recognise me at first because he said I looked different.
When we first met, I had long, wild untameable, frizzy hair and I wore geeky glasses.
Nowadays, I have short funky hair with bright red highlights and I wear contact lenses and occasionally, I put on make-up.
I guess I feel more confident with my new look.
With glasses, it’s like a shield and I used it to hide my shyness.
With my long frizzy hair, I also hid behind it too.
Weird how your outer look can change your confidence…
I have been getting more male attention…but doesn’t that mean that they are shallow??
I still believe true beauty comes from within. I’m working on that…
