Valentine’s Day 2004

Valentine’s Morning

This was spent preening myself for a more-not-than-hot date with my guy friend Mr SW.  Platonic friendships do exist!  He travelled from Edinburgh to Dundee to visit me and my sisters, Sis 2 and Sis 3.  (Yes, the 3 of us study in Dundee and live together.  It means sister-fights galore!)  I even removed my chipped toe nail polish which was painted in 2003 – yuk!

Valentine’s Lunch

A good old steak and ale pie from the local pub up the road.  All 4 of us ate that.

Valentine’s Shopping

I bought a new mobile phone.   Mr SW thought that I was spending unnecessarily but I was in a “I’m a spoilt princess and I can buy what I want with my own money” mood.

Valentine’s Entertainment

We pushed the boat out went to the cinema (please note the tone of sarcasm here).  We watched The School of Rock starring Jack Black as a music teacher.  There’s a funny part in the film where Jack Black tells the children’s parents “Your kids touched me and I’m sure I touched them too!” This was hilarious except for the fact that I was slow and got the joke 2 minutes later after all the laughter had subsided!!!  Everyone else was concentrating on the next part of the film but I couldn’t stop giggling.  I had to control myself when Sis 3 gave me a“you’re-so-embarrassing-stop-laughing-now” look.

Valentine’s Evening

Mr SW headed home to watch football even though my sisters used all their powers of persuasion.  My sisters headed out to party in the clubs.  I’m too old for that these days!!  I stayed in with my new phone and a 2-litre tub of vanilla ice-cream – a hot evening date with my phone, ice-cream and the TV – what more can a girl ask for??
