Word!

Wordie is defined as a person who is interested in words
Unknown to many people, I’m a real wordie.
When I was younger, I used to read the dictionary to discover new words. And if you haven’t noticed, I like to use definitions in my posts.
I love to play with words and puns and innuendoes.
My name is a real joke to my patients – Ling Tung sounds like pink tongue, which is funny because I am a dentist…
But many patients don’t realise that “ling” is short for “lingual” which is tongue in Latin…and of course, Tung is a homonym for tongue.
Homonym is defined as a word which is pronounced the same as another word but has a different meaning
And what is with the English lesson today? Well, did anyone realise the pun in the title of this blog??
Ling Tung’s Extracts Of Me
Extracts as in excerpts…
Extracts as in removes…
Extracts as in a dentist extracts a tooth…
Okay, okay, did I lose you?
Gah, never mind. Let me return to my hole…

I just crawled out of that hole...
